Emerging and Innovative companies from IT-BPO industry visit the US
A trade delegation, representing Emerging Innovative companies within the Indian IT-BPO space recently visited the US. The delegation was part an the ongoing initiative by NASSCOM to increase partnership opportunities between IT companies in the two countries. The delegation’s visit coincided with a leading US-based software show, the Software 2007 exhibition—organized in California, by the Sandhill Group. The delegation included Emerging Innovative companies seeking alliances with US based prospects.

The Indian IT-BPO industry, through NASSCOM also logged in a presence at Software 2007, one of the largest vendor neutral events in the US, targeted at senior level executives from the software sector. The theme for this year’s conference was “Powered by Innovation,” and NASSCOM had set up the India pavilion to showcase at least 12 Innovative companies. The conference/exhibition was attended by over 2,000 software industry CEOs, VPs, CIOs and executives from the ecosystem. NASSCOM also set up networking opportunities for the Indian players.

Scott McNealy addresses CEO Forum
NASSCOM recently hosted Scott McNealy, Chairman and Co-Founder, Sun Microsystems, at its CEO Forum held in Bangalore. Suresh Vaswani, President, Wipro Infotech shared the platform with the Sun Chief.
Speaking at the Forum, McNealy shared his vision on creating a borderless world, where open technologies and practices are creating amazing solutions, transforming the way business is being done and bringing the fruits of prosperity to people across the world.
He presented his views on how open standards, open source technology and open business practices were driving economic, cultural and social transformation across the globe. Sharing of ideas, expertise, technology, and opportunity, was breaking down the barriers to access and collaboration.
