EXL Services profit doubles in 2007

The Nasdaq listed BPO company EXL Service Holdings has reported a 64.5 per cent increase in net income at $9.8 million (about Rs.40 crore) for the fourth quarter ended December 31, 2007, as compared with $5.9 million (about Rs.24 crore) in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. The revenues in the quarter were $50.4 million (about Rs.204 crore), up 28 per cent from $39.3 million (about Rs.159 crore) in the corresponding previous quarter. For the full year ended December 31, 2007 net income doubled to $27 million (Rs.109 crore) as compared with $13.4 million (Rs.54 crore) in the previous year. The company’s full year revenues increased 48 per cent to $179.9 million (Rs.729 crore) from $121.8 million (Rs.493 crore) in the year ended December 31, 2006. Rohit Kapoor, President and Chief Operating Officer, said EXL experienced continued operational excellence in 2007.
