Adventity to open Chennai BPO facility

Adventity, a business process outsourcing firm with focus on the financial services vertical, on Sunday announced the opening of its facility in Chennai. The company has invested $8 million in the facility which would employ about 2,000 persons in the next 12 months, Kumar Subramanian, CEO of Adventity, said during the inauguration. This is the company’s fifth facility in the country apart from its two facilities in Houston and Dubai. Adventity also plans to set up delivery centres in Tier II cities like Coimbatore, Madurai and Tiruchirapalli.

Union Minister for Communications and IT A Raja, who inaugurated the facility, outlined the government’s national e-governance programme. He said the total outlay for the project was roughly Rs 11,012 crore and added that the stakeholders in the IT business must come forward to participate in the implementation of e-governance project.
